The STC rebate reduces from 1 January 2027 and keeps stepping down every year after that, until it's phased out completely by 2032. Locking in now secures today's rebate value.
Increased raw material and production costs will have to be passed on to customers when our next batch of inventory arrives.
This offer is only possible because of lower-cost inventory we purchased at the start of 2026. The exact same inventory arriving in early 2027 will cost significantly more.
Your mounting kit and pump station are already included in the price above. On top of that, every install also gets:
That's an extra $1,500 of parts included in your price, at no extra cost — plus free home delivery, saving you up to $500 in freight. For locations further from our Torrington base where freight costs exceed $500, the difference is payable.
I started Run On Sun because Australians deserved honest advice, not a sales script.
When you call, you get me. I'll ask about your property and your water supply, and tell you straight if a split system is right for you. This offer runs until the end of 2026.
Not all solar hot water is the same. Here's what you're actually getting.

Evacuated tubes are built specifically to harvest heat, not electricity — so per square metre of roof space, they collect significantly more usable energy for hot water than a standard PV panel.
Most of a home's hot water can come from the sun rather than the grid, so the booster runs far less — a meaningful, ongoing saving on the power bill for an average family.
A low-energy, long-life Grundfos solar pump station drives the system: a simple, reliable part with a strong track record, not a complicated component likely to break down.
Your cyclone-rated mounting kit and roof frame are already built into the price above — see the full list of what's included at no extra cost below.
The system is designed to protect itself against frost without antifreeze or chemical additives — one less thing to maintain or top up.
Thicker glass than standard tubes on the market, so the collector is built to take a hit from hail without cracking.
Backed by a 10-year tank warranty and built to outlast cheaper alternatives on the market.
Every tube uses the latest copper solar-selective coating, developed from Sydney University research and more efficient than the older aluminium-nitrate coating some brands still use. Made with 2mm-thick glass for extra durability.

★★★★★ 5.0 from customers Australia-wide
"I called Andrew as we inherited an older Run On Sun unit when we bought our house over a year ago and it started to leak. Not only did Andrew go above and beyond with his help, he asked for nothing in return. Good old fashion service that is so rare these days. Just brilliant to work with. And yes, I fixed the leak easily with his guidance."
Scott Knight, Local Guide · 16 reviews"We purchased a 250 litre 24 evacuated tube system from Andrew (Run On Sun) approx 3 years ago. This has been the best solar hot water system we have ever had in our lifetime. We have hardly ever had to use the booster, in turn saving a lot on power costs. Andrew has given honest and accurate advice when needed. You're dealing direct with the manufacturer, not a trade supplier or a plumber."
Steve & Rosina, Verified Customer"Amazing customer service. Extremely helpful and accurate assistance. Highly recommended."
Allister Lorden, Verified Customer"Andrew was incredibly helpful in working out the right system for our rural property. No pressure, just honest advice. Very happy with the system."
David M., Queensland"I spoke directly with Andrew and he answered every question I had. The retrofit kit was exactly what we needed. Delivery was fast and well packaged."
Sarah T., New South Wales"Great product and great service. Andrew takes the time to understand your specific situation rather than just pushing the most expensive option."
Mark R., Western AustraliaRun On Sun sells direct to the public, so there's no distributor or trade margin built into the price. Because customers pay up front, there are no bad debts to factor in either. Owning our own warehouse keeps overheads down and secures the long warranties we offer. It's the same philosophy Andrew has built the business on: high-quality, efficient solar hot water systems, sold for a fair price.
No — this is a supply-only price. Most systems are eligible for STC (and in some states, additional) rebates, which your installer applies at the point of installation. Andrew can point you to an estimate, but the final figure depends on your postcode and installer.
No — Run On Sun supplies the system only; installation is arranged separately through your own licensed plumber. To make that job easier, every system already includes the cyclone-rated mounting kit, all valves and brassware for the tank and pump station, plus over $1,500 in included extras — stainless steel pitched frames, high-temp pipe insulation, spare anode and more. Your plumber only needs to supply copper pipe and labour.
Pricing returns to standard rates. These savings — the $1,500 of essential extras and free home delivery (up to $500 in freight) — run until the end of 2026. From 2027, the STC rebate also starts stepping down, and rising material costs on our next batch mean prices will reflect that.
Yes — we deliver your system directly to your home free of charge, saving you up to $500 in freight costs. For locations further from our Torrington base where freight costs exceed $500, the difference is payable; Andrew can give you an exact freight quote when you enquire. Your system is professionally packed on a heavy-duty pallet and sent by road freight.
We don't sell heat pumps, and we're upfront about why. Their efficiency (COP) is usually quoted at a mild 25°C and drops in winter, right when you need hot water most. The best warranties we've seen only cover the compressor and electronics for 6 years, and we regularly hear from heat pump owners whose unit has died just after warranty, asking to retrofit an evacuated tube collector onto their existing tank. They can also be noisy, and when something goes wrong it isn't always obvious whether you need a plumber, an electrician or a refrigeration mechanic to fix it.
